Frequently asked questions about loans
Loan refinancing: which bank is the cheapest?
By annual percentage rate (in dinars, fixed rate) the best offers are: NLB Banka, Kredit za refinansiranje (primanja do 100.000 RSD) (EKS 7.72%); Banca Intesa, Kredit za refinansiranje uz dodatni keš (EKS 8.37%); Yettel Bank, FIKS kredit za refinansiranje (EKS 8.6%). Checked 22/10/2026; the bank sets final terms after assessing creditworthiness.
What is the effective interest rate (EIR) and why do we rank by it?
The effective interest rate (EIR) includes fees and other loan costs on top of the nominal rate, so it is the closest measure of the total price you actually pay. That makes EIR the only fair way to compare offers across banks.
Why is the rate lower for income up to 100,000 RSD?
Following a recommendation of the National Bank of Serbia, most banks have a special offer of cash and refinancing loans for clients with monthly income up to 100,000 RSD, with a lower rate and usually a lower maximum amount. Choose your income in the calculator to see the offers that actually apply to you.
Where does the interest rate data come from?
We collect rates from the banks' official websites (representative examples) and record the source and check date for every entry. If a bank changes its terms before our next check, the data may briefly lag behind.
Is the monthly instalment shown final?
No — the instalment is an indicative annuity calculation for the amount and term you entered. The final offer is set by the bank after assessing your creditworthiness, so always confirm the terms with the bank before deciding.
Fixed or variable rate (EURIBOR)?
A fixed rate stays the same for the entire repayment period, so the instalment is predictable. A variable rate is tied to EURIBOR and can go down as well as up — mortgages are usually variable in euros, while cash loans are typically fixed in dinars.
